This EP represents my newest material featuring Cameron Walker and Tim Dunn, bookended by two early unreleased songs from the band's original line up with Simon Cunningham and Steve Murray.

'Kicking up the dust' is like the flip side of throwing everything up in the air and seeing how the dust settles. Becoming a mother late in life after a lifetime of rock 'n' roll sure did both! I spent many Falls in Toronto connecting with First Nation influences, working with friends to better integrate past and future. The horse that kicks up the dust is saying "come on then" and is a beast of taking flight. I forever ride now with my Ducati 'iron horse'. For me the most natural progression after giving life is to never settle but to fly and inspire my son.

I had the privilege of supporting Amy Wadge. One of her songs on her Bump album, 'Who Will You Be?', is a strong and vulnerable lullaby. It inspired me to capture something of bringing life into this world myself. With this in mind I wound up writing material in the same spirit with an entirely different feel.

This is dedicated to my son, Ralph Perrett.
